It's officially the New Year and time to jump -start all those noble resolutions you made to yourself for 2008. I hope among your list of priorities are some fashion /style/image resolutions. If not, let me give you some ideas-you'll thank me at the end of the year if you abide by these 6 rules:
1. Stand out from the pack with your own sense of style
You have to determine and understand your own unique fashion sensibility. What makes you feel great? What looks do you gravitate towards? Who do you admire? Make this the year you develop your own signature style and rock it!
2. Dare to try one different fashion/beauty/style thing each month
Change is the only constant-that is what the sages have said since the beginning of time. And the same applies to updating your look every year. Don't get stuck in a style rut. Mix things up. Change your hairstyle or hair color. Try applying makeup differently. Try wearing fresh, new colors. There are myriad ways to make subtle changes that will keep you looking up-to-date and in style.
3. Make EVERYDAY an occasion to look fantastic
It doesn't matter what you do, where you go or who you may meet. The minute you walk out your door you will interact with others. Don't waste any opportunity to put your best face forward. Dress up just for the heck of it. You will feel fabulous and that's what counts.
4. Add a dash of color to your ensemble
I will always be the 'color Nazi'. Color is a strategic tool to use when getting dressed. If you're not used to wearing non-neutral colors try getting a clutch or purse in a bold hue. Or a scarf in a bright fun shade. Color can be sexy, playful, commanding and unconventional. Use color to pump up your image.
5. Incorporate a few trendy pieces to timeless classics
You don't have to be a fashionista like me to look fashionable. All it takes is adding a few carefully selected new pieces each season to your wardrobe. Have your Essential clothing pieces and then augment with a few trendy items each season and you'll never look out of style.
6. Strive to create a lasting impression
First impressions can be lasting. Make your interactions with others memorable, positive, and stunning. Being pulled together flawlessly goes a long way. Make sure you attend to the detail like hair, shoes, accessories. Be polite and considerate. Be a great listener. Make strong eye contact. These will ensure you are unforgettable!

How To Dress Like A Fashion Model Guidelines

You absolutely do not need to be a model to look like a model. Yes, models are ridiculously thin and they are stunningly beautiful, but the element that makes them look like models is their poise. It is their elegance. It is the way that they walk with super confidence that tells the world they are beautiful and to take notice. They act with manners, they show grace under fire. A model knows how to wear clothes that will play off of her assets. All of these qualities can be held by any woman. No matter what your age, weight, height, or any other attribute, any woman can learn how to dress like a fashion model.
Models are tall and thin and therefore can wear mini skirts, sans pantyhose. For the rest of us who have normal figures, we need to keep a few things in mind. If you do not have that model body, if you wear the same clothes as a famous model, you will end up looking like a fool. If on the other hand, you follow the suggestions of how to dress like a fashion model, you can alter the outfit in such a way that you will look like a model.
First, to learn how to dress like a fashion model, think about how models look, no matter what the outfit. They may be skinny, but generally they do not wear skin tight clothes. Why? Because it looks trashy. Their clothes glide over them, they flow, they look stylish and graceful. They do not need to struggle down the runway, hoping their outfit does not pop open. The clothes move with their body, they blow in the wind.
Look again at models. What do you see? Forget about those crazy Paris fashion shows in which no one really would wear the clothes in real life. Another Christmas comes and goes, all the painful preparations gone in a flurry of excitement. And next year much the same again. The good news it gets easier more enjoyable and more economical, but only if you take advantage of the convenient services on offer online. For small independent onliners like us, it's time to reflect. What sold well and what did not. What are our customers demanding?

Another Christmas comes and goes, all the painful preparations gone in a flurry of excitement. And next year much the same again. The good news it gets easier more enjoyable and more economical, but only if you take advantage of the convenient services on offer online. In 1880, the rowing club at Oxford University's Exeter College, invented the first school ties. After an emotional win over their rivals, they celebrated by removing their ribbon hat bands from their boater hats and tying them, four-in-hand around their necks. When they ordered a set of ties, with the colours from their hatbands, they had accidentally created the modern school tie. Schools, clubs, and athletic ties appeared in abundance. Some schools had different ties for various grades, levels of achievement, and for graduates.
Then came Vivienne Westwood and her 2008 cufflink collection. Westwood lovers were willing to pre order knowing their arrival would not be until February 2008. There is value in the product and the name here. And she remains true to good form and function in all her good work.
Here is a very brief look into her past. Vivienne Isabel Swire was born in Glossopdale, Derbyshire, on 8 April 1941. Her mother had been a weaver in the local cotton mills and her father came from a family of shoemakers. Her parents ran a sub post office in Tintwistle before moving to north-west London in the 1950's.
In 1965 she met Malcolm McLaren together they went on to become one of the most creative partnerships in history and as they say the rest is history.
Vivienne Westwood accepted a DBE in the 2006 New Year's Honours List "for services to fashion", She has won the award for British Designer of the Year three times. In December 2003, she and the Wedgwood pottery company launched a series of tea sets featuring her designs, testimony to her versatility and maturity and the respect she has garnered, a far cry from Punk. Endurance in such a volatile industry for a prolonged time is a hallmark by any measure.
